Avi on Asayag is a fashion designer and an artist based in Paris, France. He studied fashion design in ‘Shenkar College of Engineering, Design & Art’, his final project was a multidisciplinary project between the fashion department and art department.
Avi On grew up in a small town in the north of Israel; a city with a lot of ancient heritage, which inspires him over the years.
His way in the fashion industry began from understanding that fashion is not based in clothing; From that place he started to create fashion editorials and to keep seeking for pieces of clothing that didn’t really exist, and that experience was what actually eager him to start design pieces of clothing.
in addition, the interest to learn about humans and sociology made fashion a field that combined his biggest passions and interests.
Taking inspiration from his hometown, Akko, which is a beautiful old port city, and the desire to break gender Social construction, creates a clash between tradition and new modern perspective about gender.
